Who Am I?

My name is Peter Candia and I am a restaurant writer from New Jersey. I used to cook professionally, and now I do it for fun.

I am disabled, living with a muscle-wasting disease called Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. This condition slowly took working in restaurants from me starting at 19 years old, and forced me out of the industry entirely by 23.

Despite these less-than-optimal circumstances, my love for food, drink and the restaurant industry is as strong as ever. Come along for the journey.
